Determined to have a better run today as 43 minutes for 5km ain't cutting it for anyone. So I headed out at 530.

Only me the squirrels rabbits and bird's. I still didn't get a sub 40 5km ( and I can usually do 37 without too much trouble and have managed a 36 ) but I really enoyed it and managed 6k.

I stretched and took some recovery stuff when I got back to happy with that but couldn't believe when my strava showed people out at 4 55. And 5 o'clock.

Us runners are crazy beings.

Enjoy the rest of your day all. Running early sets the day up right ๐Ÿ˜.

And I've only got 2.9 miles for my 50 mile challenge. Yeah ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Wish Iโ€™d gone out that early, i wanted to go this morning but it was already too hot at my normal time of 9am (post school run) Iโ€™m still here in my running gear melting.

Crikey, I don't think I could face running at the crack of dawn. I always thought I got up too early to get a run in as well, but if these guys are doing it at 4am...no. Who am I trying to kid. It's still a no. My options either side of work are 4.45am or 9pm, it's always going to be the evening for me! Not a natural early bird at all. ๐Ÿ˜‘

9pm that's bedtime for me ๐Ÿ˜

Itโ€™s cutting it for me! I cant do 5k in under 44 minutes ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜ข early morning running is lovely though, you have the world to yourself ๐Ÿ˜Š

Note edit above! 4 minutes would be cutting it!

Sun's up, Run's up.

An enjoyable 40 min 5k beats all hell out of a less enjoyable 37 or whatever. The single best thing I ever did for my running was to stop using my running watch unless there was a specific training reason to record time/pace/distance.
