There are lots of different ways of getting to 10k - but first consolidate your 30min or 5k running get that to feel 'normal'. There are various apps, c25k+, ju-ju's Magic Number 10k plan, adding 10% of your total distance to your longest run each week. The link below has lots of info.

Yes I went straight on to 10k training, didn’t feel I needed to consolidate 5k. Initially signed up with ju-ju-‘s plan over on the bridge to 10k forum but didn’t need to take that long in the end.
When I finished c25k I wanted to start training for 10k I tried a couple of apps and juju plan. I didn’t really think the plan was for me so I did my own thing. I would just push myself a little further every run and after 4 weeks I hit the magic 10k.
Also you will find that once you get to a steady pace the run is easygoing compared to when you started c25k w1r1

I am following Ju-Ju's bridge to 10k plan. Had to have a week off last week due to some bruised ribs but I'm planning to restart and redo week 3, kicking off with a run tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed there will be no more injuries and that I make it to 10k

I used podrunner, there’s a program on there to get to 10k
I consolidated my 5k runs for about three weeks and then started Ju-ju's 10 is the Magic Number plan. It's 8 weeks long and takes a nice gradual approach to 10k. I like the gradual approach as my body does need to take things slow and steady to avoid injury.
