Well this morning was supposed to be my 2nd 9km run, but I only went and managed a full 10km.
After 7 or 8km I was feeling really good and thought I’d just go for it, glad I did.
Really pleased and going to treat myself with a beer or two to celebrate. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and support.
Not sure what I’ll do next. I’ve never really been interested in long distance running and a half marathon feels like a million miles away. 10 miles feels like a good milestone to aim for, but I’m in no rush.

Massive congratulations great 10k at a cracking pace. I was like you, I missed both 9k runs being mid winter, just wanted 10k done and dusted so I could revert to short runs 🤣 I then tackled hills and grew to love them. Good luck with future journey. Happy running
What a fantastic achievement and a brilliant time! Well done ⭐️! I think you have definitely earned a little celebration. Cheers 🍻!
Congratulations on running your first 10K, well done, you deserve to celebrate with a beer or two.
