I used a 10k training podcast that has 3 lots of 20 minute intervals which worked well as the minute interludes allowed me to get my (crazy fast) heart rate down.
Struggled at the 8k to 9k mark but then got chatting with a wonderful woman who reinvigorated me and made me realise I'd done the hard stretch already and of course we could finish this.
So I did π
Thanks to all the crowd for cheering, the kiddies (and oldies) for the high fives for all the advice and encouragement received here that ran through my mind on more than one occasion.
