Not by a great amount but my run was definitely easier tonight and I covered marginally more distance, my heart rate was down too. Don’t get me wrong I am still slow just a little less slow and it feels a tad easier!
Still doing Zen Labs app and this week running for 17 mins walk 1 x3 which takes my pace down a bit.
So very nearly talked myself out of going out tonight! I have got a work trip out tomorrow to Heathrow tomorrow, which is a long drive and coming back same day (v long drive from Shropshire!), so it was tonight or wait till Friday and as I have not always been getting my 3 runs in a week convinced myself I need to stick to getting out otherwise I will not improve.

If you input your best time for say a 5K parkrun or even just a one mile time trial into Jack Daniels training paces calculator here runsmartproject.com/calcula... , it is quite surprising at how slow our "easy" training runs should be according to him!! In fact I can barely run slow enough to stay in the easy pace band without deliberately run/walking. This is the pace that 80% of our training during the week is supposed to be done at - the other 20% being things like tempo runs and faster intervals
I just kind of have one speed at the moment - slow! Some of my splits are faster 7.16 is the fastest (I know that is still slow!) and also did 3 mins walking but still daunted by tempo runs/intervals. Give me a few weeks tho I might change my mind!
I think I will try them but I want to get to 10K first. After I have done this zen labs one I think I am going to do Ju ju’s plan. I just didn’t feel ready for it after c25k
