Raging laryngitis 🔥followed my exciting Parkrun 😀on Saturday. Seems unfair as surely running helps immune system?

Nothing to do but google.

I always felt it can knock back the immune system at times. I certainly felt I have had colds "re-appear" after running. Don't have any scientific evidence for it though.

Seemed to be something sciency in that link - quite like the idea of carb loading AFTER a run. Sounds like cake to me!

Sorry gillma, I hadn't actually read the link. I have now, seems to make sense. Not sure I will be carb loading after a run though. I have high carb meals on gym days, if I had them on run days it would just be carbs everyday lol.

Great article....HIIt training certainly has benefits and I swear by Berrocca and also vit D now. I hope you feel better soon.....

Thanks Ju-ju- . I had forgotten about Vit D - and might try Berrocca. Must keep the immune system healthy and not assume that running makes me automatically healthy in all areas! (Wish it did, though.)
