After running Sports Relief miles with the children at work most days this week (leading by example and all that - though I never was leading 😂) I was looking forward to a longer run this weekend (the miles at work having just felt like doing that toxic ten bit of a run and then just stopping) and decided it was dry enough to head over the field route I used to run when I started C25K back in August. In the early weeks this was a good 'ninja' route as I didn't meet many people (so very few witnesses to my wobbling waddling efforts!) and I'd 'run' 15mins out and 15 mins back. I couldn't believe it when I'd almost reached the end of the outward route when Strava anounced I'd covered 1k!.
Spurred on by the sense of progress and my new spangly leggings I ran a wider loop back and then continued to run the other (pavement) loop I used to run when doing C25K runs in the evening.
No records broken but a really comfy 6.3k and a feeling there's something left in the tank.
So chuffed 😊.
Have a great Sunday folks.
