Ju-Ju's 10k plan

I realised over the past 2 weeks that the GPS I have been using on my phone is really unreliable so finally invested in a running watch. Unfortunately, the phone was underestimating my distance so I thought I was doing more than I really was !! Very disappointing 😟

Anyway, managed the 9k today but it felt like very hard work. Really pleased that I could keep going though. Onwards and upwards - nearly there !!

Oh no. That’s so soul crushing. Good on you for doing the 9k regardless. Shows you can do it despite the measurement issues. Nice one!

Thanks. It's funny to think back to when running for 5 minutes seemed impossible !

That really sucks. Have you checked that the new watch isn't underestimating though? Best way to check is to plot your route on google maps using the walking function. That is very accurate.

But congrats on the 9k, you'll be at 10k before you know it and it will get easier. Well that's what I have been telling myself for the last 6 months :P

I'll give that a go, thanks.

Wow, well done you. You are so close to that 10k, I’m surprised your phone app wasn’t right, they are usually quite accurate. However a watch is great and so much easier to use than fiddling with a phone 😎

It wasn't a running app, it was Navigator. I realised there was a problem when I got very different distances recorded for the exact same route. Anyway, as long as I am making progress, that is all that matters. Thanks for the encouragement ☺

I had similar problems with my phone, which had me running at a pace that would make Mo blush. Treated myself to a Garmin and have never looked back :)

You managed 9k anyway though, which isn't to be sniffed at! Well done.

Thanks. Hopefully I will make it to 10k next week !

I did a 10k race last year but had walking breaks after about 7k. This is the farthest I have managed non-stop ☺
