Lovely varied run this morning, couldn’t believe how good I felt at the end, which is great...
Really not enjoying using apps though. At present neither Strava or MapMyRun are working for me, so is time to stop stressing and run without them. Anyone else come to this conclusion? Happy running everyone 🏃🏼🏃🏼🏃🏼

Good plan, my sister has never used anything and she runs for the love of running without a care for any type of stats. She is also very good ( she is primarily a gymnast).
i've never used apps. Did c25k with the podcasts on a smally ipod nano. Then later used a smartwatch which was just a frustration machine. Find it hard to think about running without my shiny garmin watch though, it 'just works' and it's a watch so hardly an encumberance.
I do love stats, I get a glowy feeling looking at various metrics from my garmin when I get home, and a watch is not at all intrusive when I'm belting through the hills. But I hate apps that talk. All of them. When I first started I tried the NHS c25k app, it was horrid. Then a different c25k app, and ended up packing it in after two weeks and just running my own way. Since running longer distances I thought I'd try the NHS+ podcasts...and despise them too. The woman's voice is awful and the hideous music makes me want to tear my ears off. Zombies Run, nope, cringeworthy. For me they take the spontaneity and joy out of it all, and if I don't feel that then I may as well not bother. But I have friends who use them religiously and can't imagine running without, so horses for courses!
is the GPS location setting on your phone set to high accuracy? most phones default to battery saving for GPS as it really drains your battery. I keep forgetting to change mine before I go out or forget to switch back when I get home.
