Did my first 10k yesterday. Had started training for the move up from 5k in January but only completed 4 runs so originally opted for the 5k Resolution Run. However my cousin who organised the event joked with me about going for the 10k. I always feel that if asking for sponsorship there must be an element of challenge so agreed to 10k. I ran the first 5k no problem as I'm used to that, have been doing Parkrun most weeks for a few months now. Second 5k ran most of it interspersed with short brisk walks. When asked by my Godson would I do it again to my surprise I said, "Never say never!"
Better get training so that I can run the whole 10k next time!
