I had a good run early Saturday morning. It was in an area basically unfamiliar to me - I knew enough not to get lost and had my GPS phone with me anyway? It was a cooler morning that what we have had over the past couple of months - but still quite humid. It was a hilly route but there was lots of eye candy along the way, a country town famous for its big weekly country market so all the stallholders were setting up. I wanted to run for 65 minutes - so decided on 32.5 minutes out and back. Recovering from injury, I have really taken slow jogging to heart recently so I went at a very slow average 9 minute per klm pace , stopping when necessary to walk across roads or when my HRM told me to when going up the hills . It was a really good run - from an enjoyment point of view but also from a training point of view - a long slow run !!
