Yes - that's what I said, at my Runners and Walkers Club. . He is 83 - and he is a fast walker - he walks at 9 mins per Klm - I always have a hard day at parkrun on Saturday so I regard Sundays run as a social longish "easy" run ( we go to breakfast afterwards and mostly a swim in the ocean in summer) - so I run with him for an hour. It actually proves to be a decent workout for me. 35 minutes last Saturday parkrun at an average of 146 BPM HR means that I have to do 140 minutes during the week at 125 BPM (which coincidentally works out at around 9 mins perK for me. ) Who could ever imagine that I did 21.1K last April at 6:45 mins per K ???

You did though! πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

I ran a 10k recently and there was an older guy β€œwalking” it. He was in front of me 😁

Injury can really set us back! That is a great pace for walking especially at 83. you seem to be making progress 😊

This is a brilliant step towards your recovery Bazza1234 ..however fast/slow you are, you’re faster/slower than the couch dwellers....keep going, every run makes you stronger & doing it with an 83 year old is inspiring too...who could ask for more on a Sunday...all topped off with brekkie & a swim in the ocean...wow?! If I went for a swim it’d have to be in the beck!!! πŸ˜‚

Congrats Bazza! Good to see your still going strong and your recovery is improving πŸƒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
