Congratulations for completing! Fantastic! πππ
The advice on here for post grad - firstly, get your badge! and then consolidate your runs. Keep with the 30 mins for a while. There is a pinned post about life after C25K. Well done again, and keep running!
Congratulations on completing c25k. The best plan is to keep running for 30 minutes 3x per week for a few weeks.
I didn't have a plan to run up hills , all I did was start to run them. You may find at first you can run some of it and might need to walk a bit but the more you practice on them the better you get .
When you are ready there is plan on here to get you to 10k . For now just enjoy being a runner and finding new places to run. Good luck πππ
Well done. Your choice whether you want to push for 5k in 30min at this stage, some of us are happy never to reach this. I've been working on hills since the start of the year taking it slow but sure. I do little intervals on a local housing development where I can run uphill on paths and longer recovery downhill by pavement. I slowly increased the amount of up over the weeks and now happy to tackle any length/ gradient by just watching my speed. Happy running π€
Well done! ππ Stick with 30 minutes for a couple of weeks, then maybe try a parkrun, it's a great way to do 5k. Then consolidate at 5k before trying to move on to 10k. As for hills, you just have to run them! I don't know how flat your running routes are, you just need to look out for a hillier route, but not too crazy to start with. Some people do intervals on hills. So find a hill, run up it for 1 minute, then jog back down. Repeat π
Congratulations!! I finished C25K on New Years Day and have just done W1D2 of 5-10K. It is still taking me over 40 minutes to do 5K. I donβt think I will ever do it in 30 minutes but hoping that by doing the 5-10K plan it will at least help improve my stamina and help me to run a bit further.
