Set out for a mid morning run around the village and just had that feeling that it was going to be a good one today. I concentrated hard on keeping a steady even pace and the result was my fastest time yet to 5k at just over 32 minutes and all the splits were around the 6.30 mark. Very very happy. It's good this running malarkey isn't it!!!! 😁

Nice one. You are kind of inspiring me to try this and get to 10k. Since graduating c25k I have been surprised to find out that I can already run more than 5k in 30 mins (I did 5.74k in 32 mins last night). Maybe if I slow down a bit 10k won't seem quite so daunting........

Morning Mike, I’m in complete agreement, Chris is a inspiration πŸƒπŸ˜€

I’ve been finding that the Bridge to 10K is easier that the C25K. I got to 8K before a injury interrupted my training.

I found that keeping the same pace and breathing technique worked for me 😊

If you’re still feeling good at pace you’re doing, keep with it 😊

Good luck on your journey πŸƒπŸƒ

Thanks Ted. 8k is is really good going.

I am trying to up the distance gradually. I was hoping to reach 6k last night, but my legs were starting to protest and I thought it best to stop rather than risk another injury.

Good luck on reaching the magic 10!

Your pace is really good, better than mine. Speaking from a personal point of view I know I can run 5k in about 32 minutes but will have to adopt a slower pace for longer runs, probably about 36 or 37 mins for 10k, it's fun doing both!!! 😁

32 minutes for 5k is pretty good going. After reading this I think I'm going to have a go at the 10 :)

I thought you couldn’t run slower Chris?? 😜

Pound to a penny you’ll do 10K in not much over a hour! 😊

Funnily enough, my ave pace over the 5mile run was better than my 5K.....I’m obviously getting fitter 😊

Ha, I do struggle, I start of slow but then end up increasing the pace a bit without even realising, if I can get 10k in 70 minutes in a couple of months I would be very happy!!!

That’s my target, you’ll do it comfortably!!

My planned 10K Run on the 21st has been rescheduled due to my brothers Mrs going in for a op. Doing it on Mar 3rd now...just as well cos I’m not quite ready at the moment πŸ™„
