Had a go at the gym today with the Sami Murphy Bridge to 10k podcasts. To be honest I had a go at using them last year but found the first one a bit too quiet when Sami speaks. My hearing isn't the best these days and my Gym can get noisy when the classes are on. I know that misswobble is a fan and I thought I'd give them a second go (I think misswobble has posted that they are a bit louder after the first week).
I borrowed a slightly louder MP3 player (remember them!) off my daughter... and it promptly conked out halfway through the middle run. I persisted using the timer on the treadmill to time the walk and run intervals Sami had described in the intro... hence Sami without Sami!!
Overall I did 5.8k in 54 mins ... I have run further than this but for some reason I am feeling it a bit this evening as I type... goodness knows why.
Anyway I'll stick with them and see how it goes... at the moment I still prefer Laura!!!
Happy running

You did a great job there. I take my hat off to anyone who can run on a treadmill, because I find it really exhusting and often have to stop. I tried the Sami Murphy podcasts too, but never got beyond week 1. Maybe I should have pesisted? I used Ju-Ju's bridge to 10k plan...sort of. It worked a treat, and I got to listen to my own music.
I hope you get into your groove with Sami. So many people have found it works for them. But if it doesn't, you will find a way.
The first Sami session is quiet but after that the sounds gets sorted out and is loud and clear from there on in
The podcasts are the dogs wotsits
I take Sami with me on all my long runs and played her for my final marathon laps 💪🏃♀️😃👍
Lots of the music was new to me but I love it now. some very amusing lyrics on there which will make you smile The lyrics are chosen to help you out when the going gets tough and to raise you up and for the slower bits. You even get really good cool down tunes
