What a lovely morning to both get out and reclaim my long lost mojo! Blue skies, frost twinkling on the pavement and feeling in tune with my body. I managed just over 30 minutes, so it kind of feels like graduating all over again π
I think what has helped is running 3 times a week, using the foam roller but most importantly of all, not fretting about how slow I am, and concentrating on stamina instead.
This week has been stressful at work and I know that I ve been snappy and tired at home. This morning's run has cleared my mind and lifted my spirits, abd I enjoyed the run in a way that I haven't for a long time.
Running is such a great way to clear away the cobwebs and distress, isnβt it?
I am also trying to build stamina (by increasing distance) and hope that speed will come later. My regular running route is very popular with runners and I am by far the slowest, always getting overtaken. The most important thing for me is to keep enjoying my running however far or fast I go.
