Bimble, bimble

Was supposed to be doing a 10K today, with a Canicross friend and our dogs. After the blisters of yesterday though, I had to cancel on her. So I said I’d join the beginners’ Canicross run and just do 6k. Alas husband’s motorbike wouldn’t start this morning, so I had to drive him to work on the other side of the county.

I still wanted to run though, so ended up going to the same place as the beginners’ run and just chose paths more or less at random. With the result that Taylor Beagle and I covered 7k in about an hour - uphill and down on some lovely slippy mud - and got very wet in the rain, to boot. So wet in fact, that I did actually strip off in the car park to put dry clothes on, instead of waiting till I got to my daughter’s.

Stripping off in the car park was a 2 stage job. It’s the first time I’ve resorted to doing it when in the presence of strangers 😳 and it was very nerve wracking. Though they were actually far too absorbed in getting ready to do whatever they were going to do to be paying any attention to me.
