So whilst I did not do the shorter run I stuck to two times 5k and 5.6K this first week I have resolved to stick to the plan in the second week. I do need variety I now feel. At the end of the 5.6K I should have run on but told myself enough is enough. My weight is now coming off again and I am happy with that 0.5Kg last week and already this week 1.8Kg, however I am realising I need to feed myself at least what I burn. Lessons , lessons and more lessons.

Yes, the shorter run is your recovery run tfcmagpie. It does get longer too and is all part of calculating a safe increase over the six weeks. Good luck with wk2.x
