DON'T stop running for 6 months!!!!

I can't believe the aches and pains I am getting in feet, calves, etc as I attempt to return to running. Quite apart from any residual "pain" in my fractured 5th metatarsal, I have pain in both my ankles and in the metatarsal pads underneath my feet - especially the big toes !! :( -- AND I am taking it quite easy on the gym treadmill. This is actually worse than when I first started C25k 4 years ago - only got a bit of shin splints then :(

Oh dear! 😕 Just shows how great the C25k programme is, enabling the body to gradually adapt to the pounding!

Oh dear Baz 😫. We say to everyone starting the programme that as you get stronger you lose the niggles I hope it’s true in your case. You must be fed up of your niggles by now

Good luck. I hope your luck turns and you can enjoy some pain free running Or indeed less painful running 👍
