I graduated a couple of weeks ago. I even started running to the Audiofuel speed and stamina podcasts. I was doing really well until I caught that stomach bug. I had a few more rest days than planned. I was worried that it would affect my running. It has a little.
I didn't realise just how much running has affected me. I actually dreamt that I was running. It was a lovely day. I had a nice rhythm, good speed, great form and a very streamlined, fit looking body. I think I was taller too! So with that in mind I took a cold and frosty run yesterday morning. The dream run was a dream run. The real run well not so bad. I couldn't keep up with the speed podcast but I didn't stop running either. It was great to be out, listening to Laura and slow as I was, I was running. (Smiling now, smiling then. Feeling pretty good.)
I have my sights set on a Park run. I'm registered and ready to roll. Just a few more weeks and I reckon I'll be ready.

I am not sure what you mean by " I couldn't keep up with the speed podcast" - because as far as I remember about it, the only thing that needs to be kept to is the beat (cadence) of the music. Is that the problem for you? - or perhaps the length (time) of the run ??
The problem was definitely me. I was running to my own beat rather than to the beat of the music. So all in all I had a nice run but didn't manage the interval training part of it. Its not all bad. The music was great and I have something to aim for next time.
