Hi. Iβm lynne and just graduated c25k. Going to do a bit of lurking over here. π So π hello. Still consolidating my 30 mins. Still working on the 5k (4K still) . Have signed up to the 5-10K transition 3/12. Is it too early or can I just do what I can. Donβt know the format? But have rashly signed up for the Brighton 10K in April π±so want to press on and not loose motivation over the winter (itβs getting cold out there!!) βοΈπ¨π¨πββοΈ. I am in my sixties and this is probably the first time I have done any regular exercise! Son is running πββοΈ in Brighton marathon and very encouraging. Thanks
Moving up: Hi. Iβm lynne and just graduated c... - Bridge to 10K
Moving up
Should add that I work nights every week end so unfortunately cant join park runs just yet
Are you in our Juicy juβs 10k group? She has a link to her movie clip and sign up sheet. Just scroll down
Goodo ππβοΈ
Hi, ............you just can't get away from some people!
You have loads of time to get to 10k, but there is no rush and keeping progression slow and steady is still the way to go. All the groundwork builds the base so that 10k, when you get there, will be a comfortable and safe transition.
Hi Lynne, congratulations on your graduation and welcome to this forum - lots of friendly, familiar faces here You have plenty of time to get to 10k. Take it steady to avoid injury. Ju-ju's plans are great, but since you are not at 5k yet take your time and do what you can. Best of luck
Hi Lynne,
Iβve signed up for the Brighton marathon 10K too!π¬
Iβm a little bit ahead of you on this running journey having just done my first 10K run with other peeps yesterday. Know exactly what you mean about keeping the momentum going in the cold, gotta keep on keeping on. Itβs a great excuse to get nice new gear though!
Good luck ππ½ββοΈπ
