I did a 10K TT down the Middlewood Way yesterday and was 27secs over the hour mark! Knocked just under 2 mins off my previous best 10K ..wish I'd gone a bit faster now if I'd known how close I was!
Hopefully back to normal this week as family life took over a bit last week. I’ve just returned from a 9k run and have a 7k run scheduled for Wednesday while my son is doing Tae Kwon Do in a nearby town, then another run on Saturday morning...
Gentle 6k today (well there was a hill but I managed that ok!), Wed or Thurs 4/5k in the dark as we have team time at work all day - out comes my chest light), then Saturday 5k forest trail race organised by the local running club (I will only be racing against myself and the clock 😉).
Slowly working towards the 10k. It was meant to be a 48 min run (for those of you who don't know, I'm doing it by time/effort because the hills). I ran for 52 mins (because I forgot to start the countdown on my watch, so I had to guess when I started running) and I did 7.6k. It was only meant to be 6k, but I'd picked the flattest route we have round here which really affects the distance. I still went up 205ft, but it's better than the usual 400+ft! 😀
