Not exactly what I anticipated buying, but they will definitely keep me going for a bit πŸ˜€ while I continue my quest for the *perfect* trail shoe.

It's not as deep as I'm used to, but I'm assured that they'll do the job. I'll report back tomorrow after I've run in them.

Oh they're lovely! Oooh the excitment of opening that box for the first time.

Yeah but, the perfect trail shoe for which trail? You need to cover all the bases - Inov for mud, Brooks for stones, Peregrines for slippery etc etc. I did a fell race last year (mud central) and I noticed that Inovs were very much in evidence

I have two pairs at the moment (Peregrines and Mizuna Hyate 3), and have even been wearing Nike Pegasus road shoes or my not-too-nasty local trail, quite happily. I have been hanging my nose over some Scott Kanabalu though. Apparently these are wider so could be THE shoe. LOL

I'm sure you'll have many happy runs in them! Have fun trying them out.

My Mizuno are a bit stiff to be honest and my big toe seems to have little protection in them, so I've not used them much on my very stony trail. I did run on the beach in them and they were fine, and they're ok to walk in. The guy said they would need breaking in and I think he's right. They look gorgeous though! I've not given up on them yet

Peregrines and I do not get on. I had a pair for a couple of weeks earlier this year; no matter how I laced them I couldn't get them to feel 'right' and they caught a nerve on the top of my foot, which left me with numb toes 😞

I'd be interested to hear how you get on. I normally run in inov8 road shoes and want to get some trail shoes for winter running in the fields/woods but have been a bit dubious about whether the tread would be sufficient to stop me sliding and ending up on my backside!

Those are my worries too.

Look great... welcome your feedback after a few runs as I may be looking for a new pair of trail shoes soon and I've heard some good things about the brand.

I've just purchased a Inov waterproof running jacket which so far has been really good... not cheap, but after getting soaked in my old one thought the investment was worth it.
