New Trail Shoes

As it seems to be tradition to show new shoes I thought I would enter into the spirit of it. New Nike Pegasus Trail II.

I reached my 10K before lockdown, after my repeat of C25K, but during lockdown we decided to completely redecorate our cottage, top to bottom! Unfortunately running had to take a back seat. However on completion I started again and am trying to reach 10k again, gradually increasing my distance each week. Most of my runs consist of a mixture of trail and narrow country lanes but more and more, having found new local routes, on trail. My local running shop recommended the new Nike, as they are suitable for both surfaces especially when mixing the two. I have to say they are incredibly comfortable and it is like running on a trampoline!😂 So hopefully I will succeed in reaching 10k and beyond as I would like to try the HM in time for my 75th next May.

Thanks to all who post, advise and encourage on here.

Nice shoes johnt46! 😍 Yes, it’s pretty much the law to exhibit our new runners, so you definitely did the right thing for you and us!

Enjoy them, and may they give you many happy miles of running. 😀🏃🏃🏃🏃

Ooooo just the post I need to get me in the mood for my first gait analysis and new shoes tomorrow, so excited. Yours look absolutely fabulous 😃

Just wondering what I should be looking for tomorrow, I run on a lot of country tracks and sometimes the beach but some roads and paths too so need some kind of hybrid if there is such a thing, like my bike 😆 I’m sure I’ll get good advice from the store.

Very interested to hear your goal of HM by next May, I have the same goal to do one next May in time for my 63rd! Good luck with yours 🤗

Apparently these are the latest from Nike, engineered just for that, trail and road. The owner of the shop has even taken them with him on a break to run trails on the east coast. And it was said that it was the first trail shoe that everyone at the shop agreed was perfect. Good luck with your trading too, let me know what you end up with🤗

Wow! They are bright! 😎 No fear of going unseen in a snow drift there. Report back when you’ve gone through a really mucky trail.
