Had the opportunity to measure out the distance of a run I have in mind for the future and it comes out at 7 miles/11.26k, so a few more weeks of consolidation and there's my target

I have been running this distance for the last few weeks and am looking to increase another 1 or 1.5 miles, eek! My main issue is working out the routes as I am spreading the area further.
... and you are already a 10K Graduate...and doing wonderfully... slow and steady gets us there doesn't it?
Is it easier now that school term has kicked back in ? You had a brilliant summer's runs with your offspring
x
Slow and steady is good and so far keeping me off the ic. I find that i need to work out my longer route, mull over it for a little while, then do it!
Thank you Oldfloss. I enjoyed my runs with my mini support team over the holidays, In fact I took one with me on my run on Thursday afternoon! My issue with longer solo runs is that I don't have a water bottle carrier and I hate carrying a bottle in my hand. Do I need to take it for 8.5 miles? Maybe I am back to a belt idea?

Always good to have a target. Water/no water? I think heat and humidity play a big part in this decision but anything above 10k having water is probably a good idea (but I am not very experienced in these things!). What about a 'camel back' or similar then you can sip water when needed.
