Yay! Good for you - me too! I, along with many of the wonderful folk on this forum, find the reality of running in the rain is actually pretty good - and the shower when you get home feels even better!

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm more than happy to carry on if it starts when I'm out but not so good at going out if it's already raining... I thought I'd put it out there! Enjoy your run.

Make sure you stamp in the puddles - it makes your soul smile!

The only time I don't go out is if there's a real storm with thunder and lightning. Which has happened twice. Temperatures under -10 degrees C are not too pleasant either, but I will brave them aswell (-13 was the lowest!). And I'm pretty crap in the heat, but am learning to run in higher temperatures (28 C was the highest, but I try to avoid anything over 20 C). But we do get proper seasons and weather variations in Munich. I WANT to become (or stay) a runner and so I'm not going to let the weather put me off!

You are clearly a more advanced runner than me! But I aspire...

ps: I was outside in a thunder storm today for the first time in a very long time - fantastic with some awesome lightening.

We had a thunderstorm this evening too. I just got home before it really let rip. I loved the wind and the first drops of rain were really cooling. There was also lightning everywhere, but wasn't worried as I couldn't hear the thunder so it was a long way off.

Keep at it and in time you'll be an experienced runner too!

We were very close to a massive lightening strike - it really was pretty amazing. The we had to run to the care whilst being pelted with hail. Such fun!

You're making me check the weather forecast now! I also plan to run tomorrow. Another 'gentle' parkrun :)

Hope you had a good parkrun Hidden . I've still not made my mind up about parkruns - it's two buses away and I do like running on my own, but never say never.

A tad later, and it was fab, thanks. No rain (well a tiny shower) but lots of wind. I came across a burst water main and thought about splashing through it RebeccaSK but decided that as the rest of me was dry I wanted to keep my feet dry too! Good for the soul.

How's your back?

Of course! Mind you it wasn't raining so there was no real commitment to put to the test. Enjoyed it tho.
