Apologies for name mistake!

β€’8 Replies

Big apologies to Bazza who infact sent me the B210k training programme not as I had stated this morning that it was davelinks. So sorry about that.

Now then have just returned from FOD and it was a great start to 10k training and the programme is going to work me thinks!

I managed to run 40 minutes in segments of 10mins with 1min walking in between each 10 minutes.πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

I think I'm getting stronger and my technique is getting much better. I don't ache as much post runs and I just enjoy it.

So my time was 47mins. Distance covered was 5.52km pace was 8.34. Now I don't know if that's good or slow,so any advice would be appreciated .

I shall carry on with this programme because it is easy to follow. Maybe I should start my garmin after my 5min warm up? What do you guys think?

Happy running all!πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Personally, Peggy, I start my Garmin after my 5 minute warm up.

I just did 6k in the late afternoon, too warm to go further! I think that will be it until my Race for Life on Sunday πŸ˜„

Yes I think that's what I shall do .will walk for 5 minutes then start my garmin why I didn't do that this morning I'll never know.

Well done on you're 6k. Sunday will be a doddle for you. Have a great day and look forward to your reportπŸ˜„πŸ˜„

I am not going to comment on whether your 8:24 pace is good or bad - because it is neither. For you right now, it is probably "good" - but for you in 6 months time it will probably be "bad" :)

That's very true Bazza1234 so I intend to progress with that to get it better. Out of interest as a seasoned runner what is your pace?

I don't have "a pace" - I have lots of different paces when both training and running in events. My pace varies from 3min30secs per k to 9 minutes per k.

Note that I can't run one K at 3;30 mins perk - maybe 50 metres :)
