C 25 k was not about running 5 k but more about running for 30 mins is bridge to 10k about actually running 10 k
just a thought: C 25 k was not about running... - Bridge to 10K
just a thought
Yep. Most people will get to 5 k soon after graduation so the natural next step is trying to reach 10 k. I guess it makes sense because most events are 5 k, 10k, then HM and Marathon.
Actually the programme I did built up to run for 60mins. I couldn't do 10k in that time so as with C25K took some time to extend to that after. So depends on how your programme is structured but the ultimate aim will be too run 10k
Yes it is😀 Build slowly and enjoy 👍🏼
Although the plan you set yourself will only get you to 10k if you ate faster than me! I think you stopped at 70 mins. I take a tad longer than that! But many will say if you can run 8k ypu can definitely run 10k. Remember just to build slowly and enjoy😀
I saw bridge to 10k as all the distances between graduating c25k and reaching 10k. E.g. the maximum distance I ran for ages was 7k. There are running plans to get to 10k but this forum isn't necessarily about following one of those plans, it's more somewhere to go after finishing c25k
Thanks i suppose my next goal is to run 10 k not sure how long that will take did 5 k in 33 min so double that is 66 min but i don't think for 1 min it will be that easy .
I do try to go slow and steady but that is not easy to judge speed and i think i go to fast to start but am trying to keep that under control but yesterday when i ran for 46 min (should have been 40 ) i will admit did not have to think about slowing down in the second half of the run it was more trying to keep up my normal pace .
Anyway on a brighter note my new toy arrived today (Garmin Vivoactive HR) so should help with time speed and pace and all that stuff when i learn to use it
