Hubby and i have been doing bridge to 10k with a beginners running group for the last 7 weeks. We have one more week to go but hubby and i reached our 10k yesterday doing runbacks for the others. Hopefully on our last week we can do it again or go even further! Most of us are joining the main running group from which the beginners group was created so lots of races for us!
Hope youre all getting on well

Congrats! Please can you tell me how you did it as I am now running 6k albeit slightly slow and I would love to start the bridge to 10k .Have down loaded the podcast but don't really understand it.
Hi we didnt use a podcast, we just increased our distance weekly by about 10% i think it was. The run leader had printed out what distances he expected us to try and run each week, the first week was 5k three times a week, the next week it was 5.5 three times. I did it before with a podcast and only got to 8k as it was going by time and not distance. Hope this helps x
Congratulations on your 10k! I also used the 10% rule to extend one of my three weekly runs when I bridged to 10k -quite a few of us on here have. Happy running😀🏃🏽♀️
