just started week 7 today, could I ask are there any plans to offer anything after this programme is completed in a couple of weeks. I’ve enjoyed this one and feel the distances are very rewarding. The 10k I did the other day took me completely around where I live. It felt quite a long way to be honest although I did enjoy it!.
There are some links and suggestions for things you could do next linked from that post. I’ve done the Nike Run Club Half Marathon plan-that’s a really good one. I know Fun Beyond 10k have some exciting things coming up… linda9389 Irishprincess and Beachcomber66 will give you a warm welcome!
The other thing you might be interested in is the HU virtual 10k coming up. Details here…
Started week 7 by getting the 9k under my belt. Still have last weeks 4k to do but knew I wouldn’t have time to do the longer run next week. I have to say I find 9k a lot harder than 8k mentally and physically. I think it is because it takes me over an hour, maybe also because my body didn’t want to do 5K yesterday, never mind 9! I do need to work on the mental side of running, because I think I create my own barriers. However I’m still very grateful to this plan for making a 5K seem like an ‘easy’ run, when before it was my normal, dreaded run!
well done you!! I know EXACTLY what you mean about the self created mental barriers…gosh, my legs could run forever some days but my head has me doing hurdles!!! C25k is a life saver though…and now look at you!!?! Keep it up…you’re doing fantastic
