I was hoping to inform that normal service had been resumed running wise but alas it has not been so..
It has been a real struggle to get out there, the confidence and slight swagger hiding in the shadows,to many false dawns ... it was easier not to run so that is what I did again..
I am now managing to get back out there, nothing major for now slowly building back up.. I think the better weather and expanded waistline did the trick.. we will see If this is to be a sustained return .I feel it us that is the main thing ...
As Laura says , you can do this !!!
Hoping all us good with you all and you are being good to yourselves and the running God's are smiling down on you 😊
You will get there, so try to be kind to yourself, and enjoy the journey you are making back to where you want to be. Carry your successes with you, but leave the setbacks at the side of your running path
You know I love my quotes.. and I do love this one...
“If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.”
Hope you rediscover your swagger! Maybe start slowly, I found run-walking was good for me when I regained confidence after a mystery calf pain kept stopping me. I would run for a while, then walk, it allowed me to enjoy the running bits again and recover. Got right back on track doing this
Thanks to you all , AndyD poppypug Bluebirdrunner ancientrunner Realfoodieclub Oldfloss JoolieB1 for your kind relies, As always so supportive and positive ..
Feeling much more confident and positive about running now .. taking and heeding all the advise .. slow n steady doing it for me and enjoying the time spent running again 😊
Nice to see you back again Rob - slow is fine, you know that on here, and our mojo often wanders off and hides under the couch. Well done for getting back out there
Lovely to hear from you again, not_so_slow_rob. Take your time to regain your past form, Sweetie. You are, after all, the king of the gradual build up. Good luck x
Glad to see you back, Rob! Slowly but surely, one day at a time... running in the sunshine is much more motivating, you'll soon be back in the running groove
