Thanks to the excellent plan of our awesome ju-ju- , and the support of so, so many forum friends .
I have to just say a huge, huge, and heartfelt thank you to Bluebirdrunner who has really , really, boosted me, bolstered me, encouraged and organised me over the last few weeks, ( I could not remember what I should be running each week)..... to help me to get back to running to 10K; where I was before my calf tear in September.
It was so wet this morning, but there was no way I was not going out there, after the icy conditions of the last few days...it was, as ever, with me, slow and steady..but I did the 10K that I wanted to do.
I have to confess..I did a jump from the 8K and did not do the 9K in the penultimate week..but this was not my first 10 K and I was steady this morning
There have been quite a few of us doing this particular plan, most finished last week.. I am joining them now and count myself so lucky to be in such good company! Thank you folks!
So grateful to be back on track...finally

Fabulous Floss! That calf tear will hopefully soon be a dim and distant memory. I can start following the hallowed snail trail again☺Love that you're mended😘
Take me with you on your next outing to Rookery Wood Floss. I'll do it for real someday! ☺ I've done some lovely runs with the doglets and I'm still finding new trails and bits of woods I didnt know about, in an area I've lived in for over 50 years!
Well done, Floss! You've been having a tough time of it recently, but you're back out there. 10k is a great distance; when you walk it, it seems so long, but it flies by when you run it and it is a real achievement. I am looking forward to your poetical posts and am cheering from over the water.
So thrilled for you Floss..You have run your 10k... and with so many pb's as well, you have proved that you really are back on top form.💪
Ju ju's program is excellent and it has been fun doing it with the help and encouragement of our little group, thank you for your kind words Floss, you have helped me so much this year, boosting my confidence and I could easily have drifted away had you not encouraged and believed in me... and now you have finished the program too so group hug up on the podium...
Hope you are not too worn out and can enjoy your celebrations..no badge, you have that already...but you deserve a lovely treat and I'm sure Mr Floss and your family will spoil you a bit...
It feels great to have run that far doesn't it, and I'm sure each one is still as sweet...
So happy for you Floss! Glad you were able to miss the ice and get out there. It really looks like a soggy one from your pic! You are back in business, and business is GOOD!
Thank you my friend... it was, very, very wet, and I dunked my foot in a deep puddle within the first 1/2 K!!! Mind, it had dried out a bit by the end of the run.
I'm soooo please, and huge well done on getting out in that icy looking rain. I bet you felt so much better for it? So good to be back on track too. This forum rocks thanks to the people in it 😎
Thanks to you Ju! The other folk doing this one with me finished ages ago!
It took a while, but back on track now and it felt so, so good!
It was horrid.. the rain was not forecast, I went out later, hoping it would have cleared..Ha!
I started, all off togged up and stripped off as I ran... in the end... I was just wearing my t shirt and my leggings... had to tie my jacket round my waist . hat stuffed in pocket... what a sight!
Whoohoo!!! I'm so glad you're back on track after your stint on the IC! It really was a great plan, with great structure! Soon, we shall see a lot more graduates with the start of a Ju- ju's new plan. It'll be nice to be on the sidelines cheering everyone on, knowing it is as doable as C25k was!
So pleased for you Oldfloss you have done so well. I am actually just in my first week of the Bridge to 10K so my first increased distance will be on Wednesday to 5.5K. Seeing what you have done and are doing is an inspiration to me.
That's brill old floss, your calf tear must have been agony. You're so good to get going again and glad you got out there despite the weather. There are some lovely people on here, so pleased myself to have you old floss and everyone else as my friends too. ❤️ xx
Brilliant Oldfloss ...and brilliant support from Bluebirdrunner ...that’s what we’re all here for...support & encouragement..& it works because it’s all genuinely given x
