Just returned from the Bournemouth Bay Run 10k.
1300 runners in perfect conditions and a great course along the sea front with a killer zig-zag up the cliffs at 5K.
Got badly blocked at the start and dropped at least a minute for the first K (based on my normal splits)
first 7 K felt fantastic and even managed to run the zig zag passing quite a few walkers. Left knee start to hurt at 7k and it was a bit of a struggle to finish but I got there with a time of 59.17. My target was sub 60 so quite pleased.
Great event and so well organised.
Whats next?????
