I use my cross trainer on rest days for stamina and core strength; and it was a life saver whilst I was on the IC, with my broken ribs, before Christmas and when I had the lurgy a few weeks ago!!!
I went out running. Waited for the storm to abate and the rain to bog off and then headed out. It was ok out there, bit windy and my hood kept blowing off (how annoying is that!) Lots of tree debris about, and a tree on my road had blown down, lots of fire engines whizzing about, but other than that I had the streets to myself.
