Slowly speeding up.

Hi folks,

Just a short note, I did a 5 mile run on Tuesday night and pushed myself a little.

I managed to complete in 1:10 which was an average of 14min/mil.

I realise that speed is not important, but as I'm 18 stones I'm quite pleased with it.

My running had been averaging out at 15+ mins/mil.

I'm out for another 5 mile run tomorrow night, followed by a 10 mile run on Saturday so I will keep you up to date.

I've got my first HM in 25 days and I'm really looking forward to it.

All the best and I hope your runs go well.

Wow Wanawig, you are going great guns and that HM is getting close now - so exciting! I have 6 weeks until mine and did an 11 mile run at the weekend. So far - so good. Good luck! 🙂

Sounds like you're doing great. And with a 10 miler 3 weeks before the HM you'll be fine and ready for it. You'll do great.

Well done... real determination showing there :) Good Luck !

Well done, sounds like are getting the distance and mileage in there. Slow or fast, it doesn't matter. The fitness and health benefits are far greater than speed. Keep it up!
