Summing up the courage to run in the daytime!

At the moment all my runs are very early, usually around 6am. I have Mondays off so I think I'm going to be brave and try a run in the morning. Gulp!!

Yes do it! I try to mix mine up a bit!

You may need a light breakfast remember. Plus, i always avoid busy school times, I'm surrounded by schools (in addition to being surrounded by hills) 😩

Enjoy👍🏼

I can't avoid schools, there's one about 3 minutes walk away and there are always 6th formers around (don't they ever have lessons?!) Most of those were at school with my oldest boy so a bit embarrassing to see them when I'm out running!

I think its just the main school times i find best to avoid. We are surrounded by four schools so literally hundreds of school children on the pavements for half hour or so.

The sixth formers round here often walk quicker than i can run😮

I have been running for a year now and have moved from a treadmill to outdoor running! I was pretty shy but my confidence has grown because I have never had a negative comment or experience, no one is that interested in a middle aged woman jogging along. There are so many people running and cycling, you will be invisible. If it helps, maybe listen to some music but now I can run through the town centre or my estate because people have been so brilliant

I realise everyone's a lot more interested in themselves and the people they're with than a red faced, middle aged woman !

And occasionally I get a well done and smiles and that makes my day xx
