Please feel free to share your runs here and chat about how it's all going, sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If your a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy healthy week.

RFCx.

Was going to be trying for my two runs this week but I'm going to fit in what I can. I feel like there is something lurking and it would be best not to stress myself and let it take hold. So I'm having a be kind of yourself week.

Managing to keep to 3 runs per week and following the Bupa 10 mile plan which is nice and straightforward. But crikey do I ache or what, first thing in the morning I'm limping down the stairs with stiff achilles (ongoing problem) and then for the rest of the day I'm limping, the only time I'm not limping these days is after 100m into a run when everything sorts itself out.

I seem to do better if I've been working away and had a few days without running but that's not really an option with the feb 10 miler in front of me. My daughter who's in it with me is doing OK, but she's slim and goes to the gym so recovers fast and my main concern is not letting her down. I wish there was a recovery pill! Looking ahead I know I will manage the 10 miler even if I walk a lot of it and that's just by looking back at how far I've come with c25k.

Feel like I want to go for a short run today as my legs have that restless feeling but will it make things worse? And is it really a good idea to increase to 4 runs per week.

I'm also toying with the idea of joining a running club but have the normal reservations.

Have a great day, moan over lol

The older we are - the longer we need to "warmup" before running. I also feel tight in the morning - and need some distance before the tightness goes away.

Have you tried the dreaded foam roller Paul46-ipswich before and after your run?

Not what you're looking for?
