Well I can't believe what I have just found. Trust 10 run by the National Trust are free 10k runs held every month held in their grounds. Has anybody else heard of them or even done one ?

Trust 10 - FREE 10k Runs at the National Trust
That sounds fantastic! Tried to look on the link you've put but their website is down at the moment sounds like an epic parkrun

Perhaps this is better ?
Hi, another good one is the Hoohaah events, they do a 10k series, a10 miler and a half marathon at NT properties in east Anglia, next year they'll be at Childerley Estate (not NT), Wimpole Hall, Hatfield Forest and Thetford Forest
They are great events, all inclusive, friendly, welcoming, just like parkrun!
Highly recommended

Not done one yet, but be aware they are not timed. They are just marked courses - no marshalls or anything. Nice idea though if you fancy running somewhere different to your usual routes.🙂
The Longshaw one is timed, albeit manually by a group of Marshals and you get your time emailed to you.
And there are marshals at key points on the course to keep you on track, although it is very well marked.
I'd assumed the others are the same.
Sounds lovely. Thanks for mentioning
Just checked that out and found they do guided walks too. ours is tomorrow and dogs are welcome. I have 2 dogs in tow at the moment so that's perfect
Thanks 😊
Longshaw is the nearest run venue but Clumber is fairly close too. Hmm decisions, decisions 😊
I seem to be in a vortex between these runs too far (3hrs+) to get to any of them. But good to know free 10ks exist. Will do a bit more digging see what's near me
I would love to run Clumber but the car journey worries me as it's a bit far for my ancient car. I might be running in my local park instead ☺
