Hi lovely running friends ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ I ran my first โrealโ event for over a year today. It was slightly different to normal. The run could be done anytime on Friday, yesterday or today and was guided on the RunGo app, which worked very well.๐
The course was very up and downโฐ (266 metres elevation gain according to Strava) and on all sorts of surfaces: road, path, rocks and grass. Iโm glad I wore my new Inov-8 Roclite trail shoes. My normal Brooks road shoes wouldnโt have coped very well๐ณ I was very pleased to hear the audio guide tell me that I had 1.2K to go and it was all downhill!๐
Iโm normally a road runner so this was well outside my comfort zone but very enjoyable. Am I a convert to Trail running?๐ค Possibly!๐

I think my running is emerging as a trail running, as I definitely prefer footpaths to tarmac. But looking at routes on Strava there seem to be so many more road runners than trail runners. But Iโm not sure why that is, and just looking at your pics of trails, they look perfect for my kind of running!
Sounds like a great run, glad the trail shoes worked out well...love it when a steep run ends on a long down hill, a much more pleasant end ๐Lovely medal too, well done ๐
