Got up at 6 am but it was still dark so slept for another 30 minutes! Nice slow 5krun followed by 4K run with some walk breaks and a 1k sprint finish. Felt good for me as I had a little knee stiffness but I have been doing stretch n flex exercises and had a cold too. Felt like an amazing start to my day
Mixed up 10k: Got up at 6 am but it was still... - Bridge to 10K
Mixed up 10k

Sounds like a wonderful morning run, JoolieB. An the path in your picture looks like a nice place to run. Enjoy your Sunday
I wanted to stick to firm ground as I may have twisted my knee earlier in the week by running across a field of sheep! I live in Northamptonshire, so plenty of countryside to see and even town runs are interesting, I distract myself by nosing and comparing front gardens and noticing things. Saw some cute dogs today and a Green Woodpecker and a lot of black slugs too - kept me amused LOL

Sounds like a great start to the day Joolie! I'm afraid I was not up so early (new job, bringing lots of work home, exhausted, blah, blah, blah!) but plan to go out a little later this morning. Well done on your run.🙂

New job? Me too but I work all day Monday, then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons. After that I volunteer on Fridays so some space for running still but it's hard

Sounds like the perfect way to start the day to me!
I'm not surprised you didn't want to run down that lane in the dark. Blimey. Anyway, sleep's more important.
