I'm not complaining but what a strange thing.

I got some new adidas trainers a couple of weeks ago from decathlon, it was a detour from my usual Brooks Ravenna 6 that I have been wearing. I have had two pairs of them and they were recommended to me after gait analysis. The second pair I got from Amazon, same make and model but a different colour. They were only £38. Instead of the £89 I got the original ones in the sale. Ever since then I have kept an eye on Amazon for a good price again but Amazon prices seem to jump around quite a bit. When I bought my new adidas ones the brooks Ravenna 6 were £80-109 on Amazon so a bit out of my price range for the moment.

I'm not getting on with my adidas traininers they are not as comfortable as my brooks, and I'm getting feet joint pain.

On Sunday I just happened to check them again on Amazon and to my delight there they were priced £26.30. So I bought them and they arrived today.

The thing I have found strange is on Monday I went into my browser and it was still on the Amazon brooks page and in less then 24hours the price had jumped up to £75. I'm finding it strange that a pair of shoes can fluctuate so much in price but I'm not complaining and I'm sure my feet will be really happy for another 800km in my new brooks.

In future I will keep an eye to see if I can get another bargain like that.

I saw a TV programme yesterday - about the "Customs" department of the US Government - the New York office. Each day they impound whole container loads of counterfeit goods - they showed all kinds of goods ( no running shoes) and it was impossible to tell them from the authentic stuff. The biggest problem they said was people getting stuff on the internet and thinking that they were buying legitimate goods at a reduced price. They said that it is obvious that when you buy a $5000 handbag that sells for $50, it is a knockoff - but when you buy a product that normally retails for $100, for $70, people assume they are just getting a good deal.

Not saying that your Adidas shoes fits into all this - but it is certainly something to be aware of.

There are so many counterfeit products out there, it's frightening how they get away with it. One of the reasons I only buy from Amazon not one of their sellers is for that reason. I was once wanted to buy a blender and it jumped up £600 over night but when I looked at the manufactures details they were saying there was no stock in the uk at all, so I do think it's sometimes a supply and demand sort of price. I'm also lucky I have really small feet 4.5 so it's not a size that gets sold very quickly, good for prices but sometimes I wish I had bigger feet for running I'm sure it might make me faster 😃.

Hehe. I have no idea how they came up, I only mentioned foot pain! My feet are fungal free.

There's a website I use to track Amazon prices, very handy for working out good times to buy stuff- daft name, but it's uk.camelcamelcamel.com/ - just paste in the URL of what you want to buy from the Amazon site, and it gives lots of historical price data.
