New shoes -and other things to follow

Pic of new shoes posted on my tablet as that's easiest. I'll post more later on the laptop as it's easier to type on that.

My recurring blister had become a callus 😥 so as soon as possible after getting back from holiday, it was off to the running shop for another gait analysis. I am still pronating significantly, and the guy thought that it was the over-pattern on my Brooks shoes that was causing the problem (I think it was the join between sole and upper) so he felt that a shoe with plain upper would be best. These Nikes felt good so I'll go with them! Never had a pair of Nikes before, I always thought they were quite a narrow fit and I have wide feet, but the guy said they're no narrower than other brands. The colour is a bit bland though.

I'll give them their inaugural run tomorrow, I think, and try to post a bit more later.

Come to Marple parkrun, those shoes will soon be a different colour! They do look comfortable, I don't like anything tight round my quite wide feet.

Nice shoes. Nike was the Norse winged goddess of victory, so these shoes should make your feet fly!

Those shoes are SO comfy. I bought some last year and had them as my ‘day to day wear everywhere’ trainers and they are great.

I wore them throughout the whole C25K program and they were so light and great for running in. You’ll love them!

Very nice 😃 Are they Pegasus? I have a pair of an older model, hence cheap! 👍 They are the H20 resist one so I've been out on the trail in them as well. I have noticed though that they are narrower than my retired earlier Pegasus which I now walk the dog in. I bought those for my first race 🙂 I have been googling to see if I can find a pair of these much earlier ones but to no avail. I do appreciate a wide toe box. Why the heck shoes are getting narrower when feet are getting wider i have no idea 🤔

The Vomero is comfy as well, more cushioned than the Pegasus, but was dearer so I went with Pegasus. Mo wears them ! 👍😃

They are Air zoom structure 21 mw (who makes these things up?). Hopefully they will be fine. Quite pricey but a bit cheaper than my Brooks were last year.

I'm on my fourth pair of Nikes so they really suit me. My current pair are Zoom Structure too. They feel so light don't they? I love them.

Happy running days Joy 🙂

Thanks. They do feel light, a lot less 'substantial' than my Brooks but the guy in the shop said that they wear quite well - I hope they last.

They do. My last pair managed 500 miles and I still wear them for short runs.

If they last 500 miles then they will do me for a *very* long time :)
