I got up on my toes a bit yesterday when ascending hills, got a few twinges in the calves while doing so, so took it slow, and later when I got home got ball of foot pain in one foot, which persists this morning when put weight on it. Have been stretching the toes and massaging the area, hoping it will subside soon. Will see how it goes when I go for a walk later...
Good advice welcome thanks..

I think I have the same thing - and probably also associated with calf strain. It's not severe and seems to be going away a little - possibly/probably plantar faciitus?
Sorry Dave, I don't really have any advice (although I agree it sounds a bit like Plantar fasciitis - try rolling a tennis ball under your foot?) Oo! There's a bit of advice after all!
Just wanted to congratulate you on tackling those hill! They hurt, don't they (see my post above)!😬
Thanks Julie, but isn't plantar faciitis to do with heal pain? Mines up front, ball of foot, think it's metatarsalgia (that's a mouthful) Have been rolling a freezing cold can of squirty cream under it lol, and gentle stretching which seems to have helped. I will get on top of this! The foot problem! not the hill at the moment! 😀
Was walking around in Covent garden London yesterday, and it was OK, but when I got back in the evening and resting I could feel it again.
Could feel it again this morning, so have been resting today and been rolling it with a cold can and stretching my legs while sitting and holding them up for 2 mins at a time and is better. Will try a run tomorrow.
