Thank you EM ! Yes the rain miraculously stayed away during the race although we had a bit of a white knuckle ride on the M62 coming over !

Im really glad I did it, I was talking to a girl there and she said a few of her friends had dropped out when they saw the weather , I think the forecast too may have put a lot of people off.

Still a very high turnout though and very well supported along the route xxx

It was good to meet the real you Poppy! I am hopeless on faces and there were so many runners (and we beat a lot of them!) that it was little short of miraculous that you spotted me!

I certainly feel like I have run a 10k after that ha ha ! I will be doing the Frankensteins Monster Shuffle tomorrow ! All in all I can say although it was tough, I really enjoyed it

Well yes - I'm afraid I woke up to howling winds so made a cup of tea, went back to bed and thought of you and TT out facing the elements. I will have to get out early tomorrow to make up for it!!!

It was really weird , I woke up at 5 this morning and took the pugs out , it was rainy and windy, but then when we set off at 6.45 it was 15 degrees !

Very rainy over the M62 though, very scary with the lorries , strong winds and surface water . It was a bit of a white knuckle ride to be honest ! xxx

It was cold whilst we were in the pens waiting to get off, but once you got going it was warm , I was sweating my wotsits off as per !

I am so glad I decided to just wear my vest and leggings .
