Hello doctor,
My mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer stage 3 triple positive in November 2015 and had been given 3 AC cycles before surgery but since she couldn’t tolerate it and had suffered neutropenia after each cycle even with dose reduction she was operated in January 2016 and was given weekly cycles for Paclitaxel and radiotherapy and was later advised tamoxifen 20mg for 5 years.
Recently she was experiencing severe pain in her lower back bone and left leg, so our doctor suggested a bone scan which shows that she has increased tracer uptake in solitary expansile lytic lesion involving the left ala of the sacrum - highly suspicious of neoplastic etiology. No other osteoblastic lesion seen.
Please suggest what should we do.
Thank you.
