since taking bp pills 3 years ago and stopped 2 years ago some side effects still show, mostly mid anxiety nothing like i had on bp pills though, ive found that taking drs best magnesium chelated tablets stop it completely. might help someone whoes bp is caused by anxiety and should help without taking prescription drugs,it also slows heart rate down which will help as well.

Hi Peter 999

I had very elevated bp, its controlled now by medication.

When I started taking meds for anxiety, that also helped my BP massively.

Cardiologist did all tests and my heart is ok and kidneys.

I have really been trying to get to the bottom of my raised bp.

I have also had pain in my neck for over 2 years . I think my hypertension may be caused by a blocked nerve on the left side of my neck. Cervical radiculopathy may be the reason. I am hoping my doc will send me for an MRI.

I also take magnesium glycinate which really helps with sleep and mood.

I am also hoping to decrease my meds. Plan is to eventually come off my meds.

Tiffan, I think my BP is largely anxiety related. I have foot pain when I walk that can’t be sorted and it’s really got me down as I can’t do much with my grandkids. What medication did your GP give you and can you stay on it if you need to. I don’t want something for a month that’s then taken away even if it helps! Thank you.

Hi moneylover, I'm on losartan 100mg it has really reduced my bp.

But I do feel I need to be on this medication. If I dont take it it increases greatly.

I dont take medication for anxiety, from the doctor, but I do take magnesium glycinate which aids good mood and sleep.

Losartan has helped to reduced my headaches which were due to high bp.

I dont have any side effects. Not any I've noticed.
