Are these side effects normal or do I need to change again
it may take your body a while to get used to what you are giving it. But it’s impossible for us amateurs to say more really - we don’t know about your medical history, height and weight, family history …….
I expect you already have, under your doc, already tried the diet and lifestyle way to reduce your pressure.
If you are in the UK please consider giving Blood Pressure UK a ring. They are the specialist charity.
Hi, I too had awful side effects to both Amlodipine and Lisinopril . I now take Indapamide (slow release) and I feel so much better. Keep going back to your dr as there are many different tablets . I used to feel so dizzy and light headed and had awful acid reflux on all the other blood pressure tablets I tried.
I have been taking Amlodipine now for some 10 years after my triple bypass until two months ago when in hospital with Covid Pneumonia. I had a fall and the cause of this was Postural Hypotension (low blood pressure) and the doctors recommended that all heart medications - Ramipril 5mg Amlodipine and Furosemide be withdrawn. My blood pressure is stable at 130/75. I have seen my GP recently and he has reinstated by Ramipril but now at 1.25mg. I am stable now but keeping things under review. I think that I have been complacent over the years. I have had no side effect in the last 10 years
