Need to Wee!

For a long time now I feel a need to wee when I don’t need to. It comes and goes. I don’t have bladder pain or any other pain and no pain when I wee. All I feel is the tip of my urethra at the entrance is sore and burning and makes me feel I have to wee. When I do wee it does not go. It is driving me mad and I am soo depressed. I can’t link it to anything and don’t know why I have it sometimes and not other times. Sometimes antibiotics help and sometimes not. I take estriol cream, and I take solifenacin for over active bladder although not sure that I have that as I was diagnosed over the phone during covid. Off and on I’ve had it 4 years. Can anyone help with this or has anyone experienced the same thing? Many Thanks.

Hi Maddie, yes I have had that feeling of wanting to wee straight after I had been. I was referred to the physio dept for bladder problems at Basildon. They were really good, though it was for an overactive bladder. There are various things they can suggest. Exercises obviously, also the acupuncture where a needle is inserted in the heel and a mild electrical charge to nerves in the lower back. I used a tens machine to gain the same effect and with Solifenacin it worked. I also had vagifem. Seems all those things worked for me. Perhaps you need to go back to your GP and ask for a referral for your bladder problems. You should not still be putting up with this after 4 years.
