Has anyone suffered a prolapse
A very common problem, see your Dr to get a proper diagnosis and advice on treatments.
Hi yes I had a bladder prolapse for 10 yrs I managed it with hrt as lack of estrogen weakens your pelvic floor also bought a kegal 8 and used vit d and collegan ..I had a repair done 2 years ago ..I went private at spire as was nervous as even at 62 never had any ops before only the kids so never had a general anaesthetic...anyway it took a good couple months to recover properly but now I'm great no prolapse anymore.. also do watch your diet as constipation can also cause it so keep regular thats a big factor ...Google kegal 8 they are a godsend x
Found a new one on ebay tried to send u the photo but it won't allow if u go onto ebay type in kegal 8 it will come up ....its new 50.00 its got 1 bid and got 5 days to go..this is a good bargain as its new...x
Your OBGYN can insert a pessary.. ,I'm 92 so surgery was out of the question, the pessary works and is removed by my Dr. every three months, cleaned, and reinserted. The advice about constipation is very important. Watch your diet closely and eat salads and roughage, If I miss a bowel movement I drink warm prune juice. It works like a charm. Good luck.
Hi Maddie take a look at a site called MoonRise and Hypopressives they have been a godsend for me. I have a grade 3 uterine prolapse, grade 1 bladder and rectocele where the bowel is also affected. I had to resort to my own research as GPs and the hospital have not been great. Only just got my full diagnosis this week after waiting for a specialist appointment since April 22. To be honest I kinda new I had what was diagnosed but was interested yo see what they would offer. Tablets to reduce my urinary frequency which I have already tried and did not agree with me. Pessary another failed thing I tried just kept dropping down and caused an infection. Finally recommended Kegals which does not help the overall problems that's why I recommend the hypopressives it's a very Holistic approach. Sorry this has been a bit long winded but I have been where you are and already being on antidepressants, a prolapse really affects you mentally aswell as physically. Hope I have been of some help Janice x
Yes I had a prolapse lift in August, as I was constantly urinating, and having quite a lot of accidents. It was not good I panicked every time I went out incase I was not near a toilet. I am now taking oxybutinin 5mg three times a day. Which have given me a new lease of life, very happy.
