Since January this year I started having frequent urination and now have a very irritable bladder, and I'm irritable too!

I was sent for an US and no findings in regard to my bladder, however an incidental finding of womb lining thickening, now I'm on a 2 WW for a gynae appointment!

I asked GP for urology referral and he said sort out gynae issue first and gave me mirabegron to start this week.

I have tried D-mannose, but it gave me upset stomach.

What I have tried myself is drinking plenty, no tea or coffee, I exercise, eat very little sugar, I exercise regularly, run, yoga etc.. No spicy foods.

I am constantly in pain in my pelvic area and up 4 times at night and during the day visit the bathroom, every 1 - 2 hours.

Would appreciate any advice?

I am going on a walking holiday to Scotland next week and can't cross my legs for too long!

sounds like interstitial cystitis to me. I’m 65 and have had this disease for 35 years. I have to run out now but if you want to hear more of my symptoms which were just like yours, let me know. I’ll get back to you later. Good luck and sending prayers

Thank you. I've been thinking if there is a problem with my ovary then that could be causing the issue and not my bladder at all. I'd be interested to hear more though when you have time.

I’ve had bladder problems over 20 years due to a vaginal mesh had everything Botox the lot , the drug your referring to I started taking as was incontinent at night flooding before I could get to the bathroom it worked well, the urologist then prescribed solifison to go with it and vitamin C it’s worked well for a couple of years but not as good as when I first started it

I've now been prescribed mirabegron, just started taking it although not a fan of pharmaceutical meds. I'll see what gynae says in Friday as I've a feeling it stems from my ovary issue.

I had the same symptoms and tests as you. They found nothing. I then went to my urologist and a cystoscopy was ordered. I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. I now go for bladder installations every 8 to 10 weeks. They install a med called DMSO through a catheter. It takes away the pressure and horrible ache in my bladder and I pee less. After the treatment I take meds for bladder spasms and I am like new again. Also Google IC and look up the diet they suggest Best of luck! We loved Scotland! Enjoy your trip. Btw Motrin always helped me with the pain. I hope this helps🙏🏻

Thank you for your reply. I'm seeing a gynae on Friday due to thick womb lining and solid ovary, that's worrying me! Urology aspect has taken a back seat. Maybe there is a connection to my frequent urination and ovary. I've seen the IC diet and it's pretty close to my diet anyway. Hopefully I will see a urologist soon.

Hi can I ask how you got on with the thickening lining of womb please as I have that and also a simply cyst on ovary just waiting for a hysteroscopy

I was told that there was nothing to worry about after biopsy. I do wonder why my womb lining is thick.

Thank you for reply and good news for you, apparently too much oestrogen can cause the thickening and usually give progesterone to help thin it down so my gynaecologist told me, I’m just waiting for my hysterscopy
